Red Sox Trade Reliever David Pauley For Orioles Bierd

The Red Sox have traded relief pitcher David Pauley for Orioles pitcher Randor Bierd. Pauley has appearances, both as a reliever and as a starting point, in 2006 and 2008. Pauley has recently sent to AAA Pawtucket to make room on the 40-man roster for John Smoltz. He looked decent, but I never had the feeling that he has terrific stuff..
